Linocut Printmaking - On Paper

We're bringing linocut printmaking back in the class rotation and we couldn't be more excited! A print is created by carving a design into a block of lino, rolling ink onto the surface and laying paper or fabric on top then applying pressure to produce a print. Like woodcut and wood engraving, it is a relief printing process. We will have templates from which to choose if you do not wish to carve your own design.

Supplies provided:

  • 3"x4" linoleum carving block
  • Fun templates
  • Linocutting tools
  • Inks
  • Assortment of fun papers on which to print

This class is open to students age 14+
