Intro to Cross Stitch - Spooky Season Edition

Join Craft Habit staffer Rachel Hamm for an Introduction to Cross Stitch. Learn to use a counted cross stitch pattern, create basic stitches, and get started on your first project! In this session, you will make your own jack o'lantern to celebrate our favorite season, and with the skills you'll learn, you will be able to confidently continue to make new work and grow to more challenging designs!

This class is open to students age 8+. Under 14 years old must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Supplies Needed:

  • All your materials are provided for this class, including fabric, pattern, an embroidery hoop and tapestry needle for you to keep! Frame NOT included.

Class Policies & COVID procedures:

Properly worn masks are encouraged but not required while inside Craft Habit. We do have masks available should you wish to wear one while spending time with us!

This class requires a minimum of 4 students enrolled, with a maximum of 8. 
Craft Habit will notify students at least 24 hours in advance if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Students will be fully refunded for any classes cancelled due to low enrollment.

Food and most beverages are not allowed during classes, due to safety concerns. You are welcome to bring water in a container that will not spill if knocked over. 

Class registrations are not refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in a class. Please let us know their name in advance of the class starting.

Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded. We will do our best to reschedule classes, and we will refund class registration fees for any classes that we have to cancel for any reason.

To respect our teachers’ time, please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class time unless advised otherwise. Late arrivals may miss important information and may not be able to catch up to the class. We cannot issue refunds for late arrivals. Please shop for your class materials in advance!

Some classes and events may require the use of tools and equipment that are sharp, hot (flames or irons, for example), or otherwise carry risk of injury. Instructors will guide students regarding safety while using said tools but with your registration, you are acknowledging the risks sometimes associated with handmade work.
