English Paper Piecing - Mug Rug - Ages 14+
English Paper Piecing or EPP is one of the oldest documented patchwork techniques and it's been around for hundreds of years for a reason! EEP is simple to learn and allows for intricate and interesting patterns using one basic technique. EPP is a hand sewing technique so it allows for great portability - you can take your hand sewing anywhere you go! In this class with local artist, Elizabeth Hipps, you'll learn:
- Learn about tools and usage for English Paper Piecing
- Discuss fabric-cutting techniques for EPP
- Basting techniques for EPP
- Hand stitching for EPP
- Finishing technique review
- Everything you'll need including fabric scraps, tools, and hexie paper pieces! Don't forget to bring your glass/readers if needed!
This class is open to students age 14+
