Advanced Beginner Quilting: Triangle Piecing Workshop

Want to expand your quilting skills? Melissa Woodard is bringing her quilting talents to Craft Habit this summer to help you with techniques and skills to broaden your machine quilting prowess! In this workshop, she will be teaching half square triangles (HSTs) and 60 degree triangles.  If you've been in the shop, you've probably noticed the gorgeous quilt (shown in picture) that Melissa made for us. Well, that's the skill you'll be learning! Get excited! 

Students need to be comfortable sewing a 1/4" seam allowance and using a rotary cutter. 

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

• Students will need two to three fat quarters or quarter yards. If you need to shop for supplies, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to shop before start time. We have lots of great colors and patterns available already cut!

• Sewing machine, thread, templates, additional tools

Class Policies & COVID procedures:

Properly worn masks are required for all people at all times while inside Craft Habit, regardless of age or vaccination status, for the safety of our community and staff.

This class requires a minimum of 4 students enrolled, with a maximum of 6. Craft Habit will notify students at least 24 hours in advance if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Students will be fully refunded for any classes cancelled due to low enrollment.

Food and most beverages are not allowed during classes, due to safety concerns. You are welcome to bring water in a container that will not spill if knocked over. 

Class registrations are not refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in a class. Please let us know their name in advance of the class starting.

Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded. We will do our best to reschedule classes, and we will refund class registration fees for any classes that we have to cancel for any reason.

To respect our teachers’ time, please arrive at least 5 minutes before scheduled class time unless advised otherwise. Late arrivals may miss important information and may not be able to catch up to the class. We cannot issue refunds for late arrivals. Please shop for your class materials in advance!

Some classes and events may require the use of tools and equipment that are sharp, hot (flames or irons, for example), or otherwise carry risk of injury. Instructors will guide students regarding safety while using said tools but with your registration, you are acknowledging the risks sometimes associated with handmade work.
