Beginning Knitting - Mini Scarf Bookmark

Knitting is all the rage and knowing a few simple stitches can open the door for you to create your own accessories, garments, home goods, and gifts; the possibilities are endless!  In this one session class, you’ll learn all the basics to create your own mini scarf bookmark including casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, binding off and creating fun tassels.  Your book will be cozy, warm, and adorable and you’ll be ready to put your newfound skills to work in your next knitting project!

Supplies Needed:

  • Set of knitting needles in size 7 (US7/4.5mm + 24” or 32” cables)

Supplies Provided:

  • Worsted weight acrylic yarn

Class Policies & COVID procedures:

Properly worn masks are encouraged but not required while inside Craft Habit. We do have masks available should you wish to wear one while spending time with us!

This class requires a minimum of 4 students enrolled, with a maximum of 6. Craft Habit will notify students at least 24 hours in advance if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Students will be fully refunded for any classes cancelled due to low enrollment.

Food and most beverages are not allowed during classes, due to safety concerns. You are welcome to bring water in a container that will not spill if knocked over. 

Class registrations are not refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in a class. Please let us know their name in advance of the class starting.

Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded. We will do our best to reschedule classes, and we will refund class registration fees for any classes that we have to cancel for any reason.

To respect our teachers’ time, please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class time unless advised otherwise. Late arrivals may miss important information and may not be able to catch up to the class. We cannot issue refunds for late arrivals. Please shop for your class materials in advance!

Instructor: Lauren Warner
Instructor Bio: Lauren is a ravenous lover of all fiber crafts including knitting, spinning, crocheting, dying, weaving, and macrame. She hopes to spark some of that same fervor and joy in everyone she teaches by giving them the skills to make what they can imagine in their minds a reality.
