Craft With Me Playgroup - November

Join us for a fun art playgroup celebrating autumn! Children and their caregivers will spend an hour with local art educator Nicole Welch. Activities will include storytime, art-making, and creative sensory play. All of our activities are designed to activate your little one’s creativity while strengthening their fine and visual motor skills, early literacy and socio-emotional development. We are excited for you all to come learn and play with us!

Be dressed for mess! All supplies included.

Some notes from Nicole on what to expect and how to prepare for this class...

BE PREPARED:

• Be ready to join in the fun with your child!

• Dress for mess (both you and your child)

• Our playgroup will take place outside in Craft Habit’s back courtyard

• There will be small objects used in our projects and play/sensory bin and play-doh activities. If your child is prone to putting things in their mouth, be prepared to watch them closely.

LET'S GET CREATIVE:

• Arrival - Check in at the front desk and make sure to wash hands/ use hand sanitizer before heading back to the courtyard

• Circle Time - We will gather for a brief greeting, activity instructions and storytime

• Make & Play Time! - There will be several activities set up around the courtyard that will include an apple pie sensory/play bin, a play-doh station, a “magic” leaf color project, a leaf friend mixed media drawing, and more!

Inclement Weather Policy:

Because this event is held outdoors, if the forecast looks questionable, we will err on the side of caution and happily transfer your registration to the next playgroup scheduled. We will notify parents via text and email as soon as we feel we need to reschedule. Please make sure your contact information is correct in our system to avoid missed communications.

Class Policies & COVID procedures:

Masks are required for all people at all times while inside Craft Habit, regardless of age or vaccination status.

This class requires a minimum of 8 students enrolled, with a maximum of 14. Craft Habit will notify students at least 24 hours in advance if a class is cancelled due to low enrollment. Students will be fully refunded for any classes cancelled due to low enrollment.

Food and most beverages are not allowed during classes, due to safety concerns. You are welcome to bring water in a container that will not spill if knocked over. 

Class registrations are not refundable. If you cannot attend, you may find another person to take your place in a class. Please let us know their name in advance of the class starting.

Classes cancelled by Craft Habit WILL be refunded. We will do our best to reschedule classes, and we will refund class registration fees for any classes that we have to cancel for any reason.

To respect our teachers’ time, please arrive 5 minutes before scheduled class time unless advised otherwise. Late arrivals may miss important information and may not be able to catch up to the class. We cannot issue refunds for late arrivals. Please shop for your class materials in advance!
