Cement Casting: Intro to Mosaic Tile Art

With quick drying cement and decorative glass tiles, the possibilities are endless!

Sekayi will walk you through how to use contact paper and mosaic tiles to create a unique design and how to mix and pour cement to cast your own one-of-a-kind work of art for home or garden!  Use the pieces you create as a stepping stone or tucked in among your flowers; a trivet in the kitchen, or even a decorative piece on the coffee table.  Get creative with their use!

Once the cement is poured they will need time to dry. During that time you will have 2 premade mini cement stones to paint and add your unique flare!

You will leave with one 8in round stepping stone and two mini stepping stones. Sekayi will show you how to finish off your pieces once they have completely dried. This includes, smoothing the edges and bottom with sandpaper and adding padding on the bottom to prevent scratching.

This class is open to students age 14+ and we encourage students to wear clothing they don't mind getting messy!
